Donuts & Devices: Digital Literacy Workshops
Fridays (Oct 6 – Nov 10) | 10:00am – 11:30am
Skidompha Public Library | Registration Required
Skidompha Library is excited to offer a series of workshops focused on technology basics that will introduce participants to the skills and know-how necessary to thrive in today’s technology-driven world. With handouts and gentle guidance, these workshops are perfect for those who are new to technology or who want to review their fundamentals. Oh, and did we mention that there will be donuts?
The Donuts & Devices: Digital Literacy Workshops are funded by the Public Library Association Digital Literacy Workshop Incentive, supported by AT&T, which strives to support libraries of all sizes to conduct digital literacy training in their communities and help close the digital divide.
Oct 20: Mobile Device Basics (Android)
This in-person workshop is for those who have a new Android mobile device, or who are considering getting one, and who want to learn more about the basic functions. It will help learners get connected, identify common apps, and build confidence in using their device safely. Participants should bring their own phone or tablet to the event.
