Skidompha Library is excited to offer a series of workshops focused on technology basics that will introduce participants to the skills and know-how necessary to thrive in today’s technology-driven world. With handouts and gentle guidance, these workshops are perfect for those who are new to technology or who want to review their fundamentals. Oh, and did we mention that there will be donuts? The Donuts & Devices: Digital Literacy Workshops are funded by the Public Library Association Digital Literacy Workshop Incentive, supported by AT&T, which strives to support libraries of all sizes to conduct digital literacy training in their communities and help close the digital divide.
Nov 10: Cybersecurity
This in-person workshop is for those who are interested in safety online and want to protect themselves from fraudsters and scams. It will build participants’ confidence when they are visiting websites, creating passwords, and responding to email. No devices are required for this workshop.
