Hi friends!
It’s Frazier, the teen services librarian, writing to you with bittersweet news. I will be moving to Massachusetts and my last day here at Skidompha will be Friday December 13th. If you didn’t know, I grew up in Massachusetts! I love being a librarian and working with kids and teens and I’m going to continue that passion in MA. This is going to be a hard transition for me because I have felt so welcomed in this community over the last year and a half. Change is hard, but it’s also a wonderful new opportunity and I know I have lots of adventures in store!
One of my favorite parts of working at Skidompha has been outreach and physically being in the community (Matthew has had to remind me to come back to the library and to not stay at the schools all day). I knew I made it here when I was walking down Main Street to Lincoln Academy and had people waving to me from their cars and stopping to chat on the street. I was officially one of Skidompha’s librarians and a recognizable part of this community.
You all have made a huge impact on me and I will never forget my experience here. I’m going to miss this special place, and it’s you all that help make it special! It’s hard to put into words all I could say, but thank you so much for everything. It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later!
With gratitude,
Frazier
