Another note of updates today.
The ILL appeal hearing has been completed, and officially the appeal has been denied. As of July 2, 2024, we have received word that the appeal of the interlibrary loan contract has been denied, and the new vendor will be taking over delivery service. Maine State Library is currently negotiating the new contract, and will submit a draft final contract to State Procurement for State Procurement Review Committee (SPRC) approval soon. The approval process can take several weeks. So, while we still don’t have a firm date for the resumption of interlibrary loans, this is getting us closer, and we will let you know as soon as a date has been set.
Also, you may have noticed that we have had the rear parking lot blocked off a few times this summer. I apologize for this inconvenience. We have been trying to have our Elm Street lot repaired and re-skimmed for quite some time now, but weather has thwarted us on every occasion. The work is completed now and our lot is now open for you.
