Children of all ages have a special place here at Skidompha Library!  Our mission is to match the right book with the right child at the right time and foster a love of reading.

We create and run a variety of programs designed to meet the needs and interests of the youth in our community.  Our librarians are truly kids at heart and remember what it is like to be a child!  We turn this feeing into a space that is welcoming, stimulating, educational and fun!  What engages your child?  Our train table?  3D Printer?  A quiet, cozy place to read?  Where else can you check out a Ukulele or telescope?
Our Children's Programs include story hours for children ages 0-8, held several mornings a week in our story circle, Books in Motion, LEGO, Literary Lunch, the Summer Reading Program and many other special programs throughout the year.

Teens have their own separate space in the library where they can hang out with their friends, listen to music and we hope read and study too!

Our Teen Programs cater to their interests. We often host talented local artists who engage them with programs such as Henna Body Art, pottery, and block printing to name just a few.  We generally feature a movie and snacks on early release days where the library becomes a teen destination for the afternoon.
